The 2009 Wyoming State Skeet shoot was a wonderful shoot. Thanks to all the shooters who attended, we had shooters from Montana, Colorado and Utah who came over to shoot and shoot they did. You could not ask for a nicer group of people to shoot, visit and just get to know!

Special thanks to all the members and shooters who pitched right in and helped make this shoot so much fun. Special thanks to Mr. & Mrs. Mike Gurkin, Mr. & Mrs John Brooker, Bob Korzdorfer, Dave Bonebrake, Gurkin Construction, and all of those who pitched in and helped us out. We could not have done it without you, and our sincere thanks to all of you.

Brenda Bangert, Dave Langley, Ray Ayestaran, thank you for helping to pull and score, it really helped relieve some of the pressure and allowed us to keep things going smoothly.

Mr. & Mrs. Robert Wimpenny donated some extremely nice caps with the 2009 Wyoming State Skeet Shoot embroidered on them, everyone who attended got a cap, and Bob didnt
even get to come to the shoot! ( He and his daughter were up in the far north country hunting sheep ). When you get a chance to see Bob, please remember to thank him for
his donation. Thank you Mr. & Mr. Wimpenny!

The weather cooperated for the most part, Friday was perfect and Saturday morning was just about there, then the dreaded wind picked up and made the birds do some trickery, and the wind seemed to keep it up for the rest of the shoot, maybe not quite as bad on Sunday. Dale Sterner from Colorado was just pretty darn consistent all the way through the shoot, I think he has been practicing his "Wind" shooting skills...Very nice shooting Dale! Ian Morrison was solid as well, only 3 birds behind Dale, so Ian was the Wyoming HOA winner. The Wyoming shooters made a good stand, keeping it interesting to the end. All the shooters done very well and should be proud, I know I am of them.

Matt Turner had his first 25 straight in the bag, right up till he missed the...you guessed it.. number 25...Hang in there Matt, you got the taste, next time you will get the prize!
